Damien O’Farrell has lived in Italy for almost twenty years and has experienced as an expatriate everything from the frustration of trying to get a Permit of Stay to how to work and support oneself successfully while living in the country. In addition to this, Damien has lead several successful support groups for expats and due to fact that he has worked closely with the HR department in various Italian companies, Damien knows exactly what Italian companies are looking for when they want to hire new personnel.


Sessions

In person - An initial one-hour session in person. (This session may be recorded for future reference). This session may also be done by phone if distance doesn’t permit a personal meeting.

By phone – After the initial session you will be entitled to four 60-minute (this can be personalized to facilitate a person’s needs and/or circumstances) phone calls a month where you will have the opportunity to discuss any blocks you may be experiencing and where you will receive all the encouragement, support and knowledge you will need in order to keep on track until you obtain the goals and objectives you are pursuing.

THE COACHING PROGRAM

Damien explains, “Most foreigners don’t really believe in their own power to create the life they want to have in Italy. Doubt, fear, and lack of preparation ultimately sabotage the dream of certain individuals of living in Italy. For this reason, I created my coaching program Ultimate Italy: Total Expat Coaching® - it is an effective, result-oriented and detailed coaching program on how to live and work lucratively and effectively in Italy.”

Ultimate Italy: Total Expat Coaching® is for anyone who wishes to make their home in Italy, but are facing certain challenges regarding the bureaucracy, finding a job, culture shock, etc. The following are just some of the issues that Damien will address during the coaching program:

How can you get a Permesso di Soggiorno if you don’t have an EU passport? - What are the real career opportunities available to foreigners? - Will speaking other languages really help you? - How to write a resume for the Italian job market - The ups and downs of teaching English in Italy - The cultural differences that can make or break you.

His practical approach, proven experience and his highly motivational teaching methods have helped many foreigners living in Italy to find the career they had only dreamed of. Damien explains, “Many foreigners living in Italy get trapped. They buy into the limitation that as foreigners there are only certain jobs they can do. As a result they end up doing a job they don’t like while usually making very little money. Feeling totally frustrated they eventually leave Italy. I have seen many foreigners leave even when they didn’t want to simply because they thought they couldn’t find the career they wanted in Italy. This is a shame when you consider that there are literally thousands of jobs that a foreigner can get if they only take the time to focus their search and to back it up with consistent and effective action”.
