When dealing with depression, it is extremely helpful if you can pull yourself out of it at the onset...before you feel like a "walking dead".

A good approach is to surround yourself with people who lift your spirits, or to do something creative - shifting the focus of your mind
to positive thoughts.


Depression is also helped on the physical level through nutrition and exercise. Most depressed people simply don't pay too much attention to whether they are getting the nutrients they need, and they certainly aren't exercising. I have never met a person who hasn't felt uplifted after a good work-out.

If depression is your problem, know that there is hope and that you can beat it if you are ready to. Depression can ruin your life if you don't get a handle on it. Learn to take control of your life and move out from under depression's dark cloud - because you deserve to be happy, healthy and prosperous.
